你好，我是Paul Wang，一位來自於臺灣的田野錄音愛好者。

2020-2022年疫情期間，我在漫無目的的網路瀏覽中無意間發現「田野錄音」這種活動，於是便受到啟發，利用空閒研究並開始嘗試錄音後，於2025年成立這個網站，其目的是致力於記錄及分享我的錄音，希望讓其他人也能沉浸於其中。

關於網站名稱，”Zikade”是德語”蟬”的意思。夏季的蟬鳴聲是我的鄉愁-或者說”刺點”(從攝影的角度來看)。錄音這件事，對我來說是追尋心象音景的過程，是一種”藉由聆聽錄音而回到屬於自己回憶中的時空”的手段。

Hi, I’m Paul Wang, an amateur field recordist based in Taiwan.

During the COVID-19 pandemic from 2020 to 2022, I stumbled upon the activity of field recording while aimlessly browsing the internet. Inspired by what I discovered, I began researching the practice in my spare time and eventually started experimenting with field recording. In 2025, I launched this website with the aim of documenting and sharing my recordings, in hopes that others might also find themselves immersed in these sounds.

The name of the site, “Zikade”, means cicada in German. The sound of cicadas in summer evokes a deep sense of nostalgia for me—or perhaps a “punctum”, in the sense Roland Barthes describes in photography. Recording, for me, is a way of tracing inner soundscapes—a method of returning, through listening, to a personal time and space held within memory.
