Every May, Fushoushan Farm celebrates the blooming season of its lupines. While I came to admire the flowers, my real purpose was, of course, to make recordings. In particular, I wanted to compare this year's soundscape with what I had recorded during the same season last year and see whether it had changed.
The Guanshan Mountain Viewing Platform Trail, near the campground, was once again filled with the sound of the wind. After comparing sounds from several different trails, I noticed that this wind noise seemed to occur only around the pine forest. Along the Stargazing Pavilion Trail, by contrast, it was much less pronounced. I'm now fairly certain that the sound is created by the wind moving through the pine trees.
Unfortunately, what I experienced in the field doesn't translate very well into a recording. Back home, the sound comes across as little more than a blanket of noise. Standing there in person, however, it was easy to sense the wind flowing through the surrounding pines, giving the forest a feeling of movement that the microphones simply couldn't capture.

福壽山農場, 2026年5月
每年5月是福壽山農場的魯冰花季，我的目的除了賞花以外自然就是錄音，特別是我想要比較今年的聲音和去年同一個季節的是否有改變。
露營區附近的觀山步道仍然充滿著風噪聲，我比較了幾個步道的環境聲音，風噪聲似乎只會出現在松樹林附近，在觀星庭步道則是比較小聲。所以我現在可以確定這種聲音是風吹過松樹林所造成的。可惜的是錄下來在家裡播放的聲音像是一片噪音，現場可以明顯感受到風是在周圍的松林之間流動。
