夏季的午後雷陣雨

我認為在台灣的都市裡，自然聲音最豐富的季節應該是夏季
先不論幾乎每個季節都有的黎明合唱，有很多聲音是夏季才聽得到的
例如我最喜歡的蟬鳴和各種蟲鳴，另一個別具特色的就是颱風和午後雷陣雨

I think the season with the richest natural sounds in Taiwan’s cities should be summer.
Aside from the dawn chorus that can be heard in almost every season, many sounds are unique to summer.
For example, my favorites are the cicadas and the various insect calls. Another distinctive feature is the sound of typhoons and afternoon thunderstorms.

上面這段錄音是2022年夏天，我在自家陽台錄下的午後雷陣雨
為了聆聽感受不過於強烈，我只留下雨勢減緩後的部分
細雨和雷聲作為背景的都市聲景，似乎不再那麼令人感到煩燥不適了

The recording above was captured in the summer of 2022, on the balcony of my house, during an afternoon thunderstorm.
To keep the listening experience from being too intense, I only preserved the part after the rain had eased.
With the drizzle and distant thunder as the background, the urban soundscape no longer felt so irritating or uncomfortable.
