Let me say this up front: this was a failed recording.
In mid-December 2022, Taipingshan was experiencing days of continuous rain. At around 4 a.m., I set out from the mountain lodge for the Quiet Trail. Along the way, I had to contend with the rain and carry my recording equipment, while also wearing a headlamp and using a trekking pole to avoid slipping on the muddy trail.
After a rough journey, I finally reached my destination. Once I had set up the equipment and put on my headphones to monitor the recording, I immediately knew something was wrong. Even though I had added a Kelly rain cover over the windscreen, the sound of raindrops hitting the windscreen was still harsh and sounded almost like clipping, making the recording nearly unusable.
In the end, I salvaged only this short section from a period when the rain was lighter. Even so, you can still hear raindrops hitting the windscreen from time to time.

太平山寂靜山徑, 2022年12月
先說在前面，這是一次失敗的錄音。
2022 年 12 月中旬的太平山，連日都是持續下雨的天氣。凌晨 4 點左右，我從山屋出發前往寂靜山徑。一路上除了淋著雨、背著沉重的錄音設備，還得戴著頭燈、手持登山杖，才不至於一個不小心在泥濘的山徑上滑倒。
一路顛簸，好不容易抵達目的地。架好設備、戴上耳機開始監聽後，馬上就覺得情況不太妙。雖然我已經在防風罩外層加上了 Kelly 防雨套，雨滴落在防風罩上的聲音，聽起來仍然像爆音一樣刺耳，讓這次錄音幾乎無法使用。
最後，我只截取了其中一小段雨勢較小的部分。不過，即使是這段錄音，仍然不時可以聽見雨滴打在防風罩上的聲音。
