This is the latter half of the recording I shared last month at the west entrance of the Circular Trail at Cuifeng Lake, with the recording continuing throughout.
Among all the places I’ve visited in Taiwan, Cuifeng Lake in Taipingshan is one of the very few—perhaps even the only—where the soundscape is as beautiful as the scenery itself. This may be due to its remote mountain location, combined with its elevation and rainy climate, which together nurture such a rich and intact forest environment. More importantly, the area is not accessible by public transportation, and accommodation options are limited, making it less susceptible to the impacts of mass tourism compared to other destinations.

在我造訪過的台灣景點之中，太平山的翠峰湖是少數(甚至可能是唯一)聲音與景色同樣動人的地方。或許是因為這裡地處深山，加上海拔高度與多雨的氣候，孕育出如此豐富而完整的森林環境；更重要的是，這裡沒有大眾交通可直達，住宿資源也相當有限，因此不像其他景點那樣容易受到大量觀光活動的影響。
